Their First Time
It was a South Side bar they met in.
not unlike many couples before them. many after.
smoky, crowded, noisy.
a few smiles, some idle chit chat.
and an exit. a bit drunk. arm in arm.
sharing a newly invented inside joke.
nothing dramatic.
just a little personal moment which served as an excuse to leave. together.
to her place.
some wine. music. laughs, a bit too loud, at relatively poor jokes.
some food from the fridge.
some cheese, grapes.
And then she looked into his eyes.
they were the deepest coldest bluest eyes she'd ever seen
and they looked back at her, hard.
she laughed, and smiled.
he touched her.
she responded. they kissed.
held each other.
and it started. slowly. it was their First Time.
their First Time.
she breathed deep, pulling him toward her.
he pressed, and grasped hard, firmly, stealthfully.
she seized his shirt and tore it from him, wanting him.
gasping with her, he pounced on her, fiercely, lustfully.
she fell back, breathing fast, licking her lips,
he reached behind her back and pulled her to himself
and moved.
she sighed and closed her eyes, drawing near his face, trembling.
She choked up a trickle of blood. She died.
It was their First Time.
It was such a thrill.
Her to make love, him to kill.
