Friends,
relatives,
colleagues
Filled with good intentions
Make assurances,
promises,
guarantees,
deadlines,
commitments.
For what?
All lies
Or stupid irresponsibility
Compounded by deceit.
Their word means nothing.
You’re the only one I could always trust.
You’ve never let me down.
And that means everything.
