| Maybe It's Those Blue Eyes |
maybe it's the smile that
leaps to my face
when i think of you
hear your voice
touch your hair
maybe it's the infinity of common interests
beliefs
fascinations
maybe it's my admiration of you
your strength
resolve
parenting skills
or my delight at your sweet child
as beautiful as her mommy
maybe it's your empathy
your honest concern
your earnest desire and efforts
to make me healthier
happier
better
maybe it's your perfect body
drawing me like a vortex
pulling
calling
beckoning
connecting with my desperate desire
to be with you
just you. Only you
as often as possible
without interfering or complicating
slowly, carefully
we will craft the perfect friendship
and live in the moment
find love in the moment
kiss me now, baby
or tell me we're just friends
I need to know
