| Killing Old People |
you never know when it's coming
when they're plotting against you
conspiring to arrange
your permanent downfall
you never know when it's coming
the final moment of eternal doom
when the curtain falls and crushes you
and life ends with a boom
you never see it approaching
you smile and laugh at the TV
you think of everything except
what awaits a few days from now
and when the moment of action arrives
and your terrorized desperate gaze fixes on my eyes
with pitiless emotion I quietly laugh
and privately inform the doctors of your DNR order
that is when your control is gone
your life is in my hands
and I choose to end it
with a sentence and a smile
