| I'm Expendable |
I'm the only one who knows this job
I generate far more than I cost
Only I have the secret keys,
The understanding of inner logistics
Deep industry knowledge
Today I was fired
I'll be replaced within a month.
She loves me deeper than she's ever known love
And our love-making could not be hotter
I raised her from a pup
To a powerhouse woman
She could never be happy without me.
Today she dumped me
She'll be with someone else within a month.
They all think I'm brilliant
And loving and complex and vital
I energize those around me
And help bring meaning to their lives
Without me they will wander, lost, sad
Today I die
And after a couple of years,
I'll be a dusty photo and a fading memory.
